Hey Geeks sorry for the long delay on the release of this post. But we have here for you Day 2 of the process to brew your own beer!

Day 2: Preparation
Step 1) Clean and sanitize all your equipment. The best way is to use an electric dishwasher with the heat placed on HIGH. This will ensure that all contaminants are gone. however, if you are unable to get access to one, plenty of hot water and soap will work just fine. Just PLEASE DO NOT use a scrubber when washing your equipment. This will leave small grooves and allow for strange things to grow in those grooves during the brewing process and is VERY hard to clean out!
Step 2) Rinse off the bleach or iodine solution that you used to sanitize your equipment with very clean or distilled water. If you are using bleach to sanitize, remember: ONE ounce of bleach to every FIVE gallons of water, followed by ONE ounce of white vinegar to help acidify the solution and help clean your stuff. DO NOT COMBINE BLEACH AND VINEGAR BEFORE ADDING WATER!
So, Geeks, you’re on your way to brewing beer! Please note that bleach will cause terrible tasting beer if it is not rinsed out properly and completely. Beer is meant to be enjoyed and you can add just about anything to your beer to create new flavors! Just please dont allow bleach to hinder this process! Cleaning and sanitizing is the most important step. so PLEASE clean properly and the time to do it!
Happy Brewing!
