Great news! My birthday shares the day with the internet, AND Google Chrome! Can I be any more of a geek?
After just one year, Chrome has managed to grab almost 3% of the total web browsing market share, according to a Net Applications report. Quite an impressive bit of numbers, if you asked me. This number is only sure to rise, due to a recent deal between Sony and Google that will result in Vaio systems being shipped with Chrome pre-installed. Could this possibly mark the downfall of the IE domination?
On the subject of birthdays, we would also like to shout out a HAPPY BDAY to the internet! According to a Slashdot article, it all began back in 1969, when two California universities began transferring data to one another. Check out more info here.
